Holy Hour for Peace and Reconciliation

In response to the Holy Father’s recent appeals for peace, Bishop James Ruggieri invites the faithful and all people of goodwill to join him for a Holy Hour for Peace and Reconciliation on Friday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral Chapel at 307 Congress Street in Portland.

As Pope Leo XIV has urged in these recent days, “It is time for peace,” and prayer must move us to reject not only war in the world but also the violence that can remain in our own hearts. Together before the Blessed Sacrament, let us ask the Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, to bring reconciliation among nations, healing to those who suffer, and a deeper spirit of peace within each of us.
