Gratitude - Vocations Discernment Retreat - Orono
This one-day retreat offers men a prayerful, reflective space to encounter the Lord and to explore the call to holiness. Whether you are discerning a call to priesthood, religious life, or simply seeking clarity in your relationship with Christ, this retreat provides a grounded and supportive environment for listening to the voice of God.
The Gratitude retreat will take place during the Christmas Octave on December 27th at our newly renovated Newman Center (83 College Avenue, Orono).
Open to all men 18 and older.
The day will center on four pillars essential to Christian discernment and vocational maturity:
- Prayer – cultivating a daily rhythm of encounter with Christ
- Service – understanding how self-gift forms the heart of vocation
- Virtue – developing the habits needed to respond generously to God
- Leadership – embracing responsibility rooted in faith and humility
Participants will hear talks from diocesan seminarians, who will share their own journeys of discernment, struggle, and joy. The day will also include Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, communal and personal prayer, time for conversation and mentorship, and the gift of fellowship with Bishop Ruggieri as we enter the Christmas Season.
