Annulment Presentation - Sanford

The Diocese of Portland’s Office of the Tribunal is leading presentations and discussions on the annulment process in the Catholic Church during workshops held across the state. A session will be held on February 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church in Sanford.

All are invited to attend and to learn mroe about what an annulment is, the process involved, and how the Church walks with individuals during this time. There will be a “question and answer” period, as well as an opportunity to speak privately to a canonist at the gatherings.

The Office of the Tribunal is part of the Department of Canonical Services in the Diocese of Portland and handles cases and trials that are subject to the Catholic Church’s canon law, which is the code of ecclesiastical laws governing the Church. Among the responsibilities of the tribunal staff is examining petitions for marriage nullity/dissolution.
