Middle School Science Teacher

St. James School, Biddeford, Maine is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, student-centered professional to teach middle school science. The science teacher plans, organizes, and implements the instructional program in a Catholic learning environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God. Observe and assess student progress, keep detailed records, observe student behavior and
progress, and communicate with parents.
The ideal candidate is a practicing Roman Catholic who is passionate about education and building a faith-filled foundation for our students.
Experience with children is preferred and the ability to communicate effectively and work with students, parents and school personnel.
- Maine Department of Education (DOE) middle school science certification (typically grades 6-12 or middle-level endorsements)
- Requires a bachelor’s degree, completion of a state-approved teacher preparation program, and necessary background checks (CHRC)
